T-TAG – YOUR IT!
July 11, 2002

Ben loves to go to Major Market with his wife. All of the activity outside and inside the store gives him the feeling he still fits into society. You see, Ben spends most of his time at home with Lois doing the daily routines of life and being protected from the confusions of the world. Ben has been struggling with the progressive stages of Dementia for several years, slowly but surely losing much of his memory and speech skills. Lois was frequently bothered by the fear that Ben might stray from her, not be able to find his way home or tell others where he lives.

In search of an answer to give peace of mind, Lois called Health Care Resources and we were able to tell her about the T-Tags. Its simple design carries personal information on a shoe lace or belt loop without annoying the carrier. Born out of his daughter's near- fatal running accident, Eric Mattson gained understanding for the necessity of a convenient, but non-intrusive, design. Following his instincts the T-Tags were successfully developed.

Lois's worst fear became a frantic reality one afternoon when Ben wandered off during a market trip. Emergency Personnel found him wandering, used the personal information in his T-Tag and quickly notified Lois. Lois now knows she has a safety net for Ben's wandering. Market trips are enjoyable again. T-TAG, YOU ARE IT!
