Guardian Angel Program of San Diego County

• The Guardian Angel Program of San Diego County is administered by The George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers, Inc.® School of Dementia Care.
• Individuals and groups go through a short (1 hour) training.
• Volunteers are placed with an isolated senior who lives in a San Diego County long-term care facility.
• Many of these residents have no family or friends to visit them and desperately need companionship.
• Volunteers must be 18 years old or older (unless accompanied by an adult).
• Volunteer hours are flexible.
• One hour visits three times per month.
